The Center for Relationships and Sexuality was begun in 2004 when Dr. Carole
Moretz and Dr. David Roth decided to collaborate in the care of a broad range of often difficult
cases.
Drs. Moretz and Roth drew from their diverse training and experience in nursing, marriage and
family therapy and clinical psychology (Moretz), as well as anthropology, communication theory,
clinical spiritual care, psychoanalysis (Roth) and sex therapy (Moretz and Roth), as well as
years of experience collaborating with other clinicians in traditional medicine and in alternative
modalities related to health and fitness.
Originally based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and New York City, they established an integral,
multidisciplinary, multi-modality approach to sex and relationship issues.
In 2008, Dr. Roth moved to Phoenix where he conducts a small private practice under the
Center name while also writing. Dr. Moretz continues to see patients in Allentown, PA. Using
the Internet, they continue to collaborate on cases. Dr. Roth has recently been joined by Asha
J. Allen, MSW, as an intern trainee in the practice.
